In 2022, while vacationing in Antigua, I encountered a stray dog that soon became a part of my daily routine. Every morning and every evening, this dog would eagerly await my return from the day's adventures, accompanying me on beach walks. Despite the bustling beach crowd, she stayed close, never wandering far from my side.
This dog wasn't just any stray; she was in a dire state. Suffering from mange and evident malnutrition, her skin was sunburnt pink, and she had several wounds. Despite her rough exterior, her demeanor was gentle and loving. Intrigued by her, I checked her teeth to gauge her age and found them pearly white—she was only a puppy, about eight or nine months old.
One memorable day, as I waded about twenty feet into the ocean, the puppy's anxiety at being left on the shore was palpable. After several hesitant attempts, she bravely leaped into the water, swimming out to me. It was a poignant moment, highlighting her attachment and trust in me.
When it was time to leave Antigua, I could see her in my rearview mirror as I drove. Unable to shake the bond I had formed with her, I contacted the local Humane Society for help, who directed me to a Facebook group for local pets. What followed was a four-month-long effort of people from all across the country to find her and bring her home to me. Working together, we managed to locate her and coordinate her rescue.
Finally, she was flown to the U.S., arriving in New Jersey, where I picked her up at the airport. It was a surreal moment, watching customs and TSA unload crate after crate, each with a dog on their own journey. When I finally saw Amelia, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief. Amelia now lives like a princess—if you saw photos of her back when we first met her, you wouldn’t even recognize the beautiful dog she is today. It is a stark contrast to her previous life on the streets of Antigua.

In my early days at Wells Fargo, I was responsible for reconnecting with homeowners who were delinquent on their mortgages. This role required creativity, persistence and a deep understanding of people's needs during tough times—skills that are crucial in real estate. By ensuring these homeowners had access to manageable payment plans, I helped them avoid foreclosure, maintaining the stability of their families during the 2008 financial crisis.

In my free time, I love being outdoors and working on self-development; from backpacking and water sports to learning Spanish to better communicate with clients, I embrace challenges that enhance my skills and understanding. I also enjoy volunteering with the American Pitbull Foundation, something I have been doing for over a decade.
In 2023, I experienced some of my proudest moments in real estate. I listed and sold a $4.5 million property, the highest-priced listing not only in my career but also the highest listing of the oldest RE/MAX office in Charlotte, where I was working at the time. That same year, after working with a father and son for over two years to get mortgage-ready, I helped them become homeowners. For me, the most rewarding aspect of real estate is the impact I can make on my clients. No matter who I am working with or the price point, every client receives my full support, guidance and commitment.
Being a Charlotte native, I bring an unmatched in-depth knowledge of the area, making me particularly adept at helping clients relocate from out of state. I understand that each client is unique, and I adapt my approach to meet their specific needs and communication styles. This customization extends to understanding personal nuances to ensure a personal connection and tailored service. My clients know whether they are working with me again or referring friends and family, they can entrust me to protect my client’s best interests and coordinate a smooth outcome.
